![]() ![]() Regulars around here will know that I wrote about every full moon for a whole calendar year (and more) but then put the series into retirement when I thought I had exhausted my list of moon-related songs, and could find no new snippets of information about the moon that had not yet been shared. ![]() Well, I really need to get back onto safer blogging territory where I don’t bare my soul in public and fortunately for me there is to be a full moon in our skies on Monday night. To accompany the post I always include one of the numerous songs that have been written about the moon and its many foibles. Rankings are based on the popularity of each song during the period of 1950 through 1969.Since discovering that all full moons have a name (given to them by the Native Americans who kept track of the months by the lunar calendar), I have written about each one as they appear in our skies. An audience that's applauding, singing along or yelling during a live recording does not count as part of the artist's performance, thus any such recording is included. While songs without vocals typically comprise this list, some exceptions fall into place: a few words repeated during a song are acceptable, such as "Tequila," " Wipe Out" or " Topsy II." A short phrase, such as 'Just a little bit of soul now' from Ray Charles' "One Mint Julep," does not disqualify a song. ![]() ![]() So, always check the prescriptive code tables, or with a Structural Engineer before building. Thicker dimensional lumber, such as 2x10s and 2x12s can span further at 24” centers than 2x4s or 2圆s at 12” spacing for comparable wood species, grade, and load variables. The greater the space between rafters, the shorter the distance they can span. Rafter joist spacing is only one aspect of roof design and building that affects the span, along with load variables, wood species, and grade. The typical on-center spacing, according to the International Residential Building Code (IRC), is 12”, 16”, 19.2”, and 24”, which means the actual space between the rafters is 10.5”, 14.5”, 17.7”, and 22.5”. It is measured from the center of one rafter to the center of the next, also known as ‘on-center’, which makes it easier to determine the number of rafters based on the building’s length. Rafter spacing is the distance between parallel rafters or roof joists. How to Calculate Roof Rafters: How Many Rafters Do I Need?.Our goal is to provide a complete guide for sizing and spacing rafters for your projects. We’ll discuss 16” and 24” spacing, how to calculate the number of rafters required, 19.2” spacing, and the spacing when using metal roofing and for lean-to and porch roofs. In this guide, we’ll explain rafter spacing, code requirements, roof rafter span tables, and rafter spacing calculators. The wider the space between rafters often results in rafters of greater depth too. Depending on all contributing factors though, 16” and 24” are commonly used for most buildings. Standard industry roof rafter spacing is 12”, 16”, 19.2”, and 24” on-center, however other spacing may be used by a Structural Engineer. Plus, you have to select the correct rafter spacing to span the distance based on all the factors that affect your design. You have to consider live, dead, wind, and snow loads, select the correct species, grade, and dimension of lumber for the rafter span, and decide if there will be a ceiling or loft supported by the rafters. Designing and building a roof for a shed, porch, cabin, garage, or home can be a daunting task. ![]() ![]() ![]() When it is over enter the passcode 0 9 7 7 3 0 When it is over enter the passcode 20 6 14 0 1 2 When it is over enter the passcode 13 0 14 14 9 3 If you do too, try putting the graphics to medium and to not use Tab to view the microfilm. Gnomecore gave a FFXIV Lalafell fashion show: “Glamours, or transmogs, for Lalafell are tricky to an extent. I’m astounded at the amount of detail that has been put into making the planet feel unique, but suitably fitting with the rest of the game.” MMO Folklorist finally made it to Star Wars Galaxies Legends’ Bespin: “I’m not terribly far into the main questline, but so far I’m having a blast. In the setup function, pin number 3 is made known to the servo object. I made use of the servo library to control the MG 996R motor. +5V (Powering the motor directly from the Arduino, might damage the Arduino) Next, Arduino’s pin #3 is wired to the orange input of the servo motor. Luckily, it is easily possible to connect two male jumper wires to a single terminal block of the adapter. In order to guarantee the same signal level, the terminal adapter’s “-” signal is wired to one of the Arduino’s GND pins. Accordingly, the “+” signal is wired to the servo’s red input. The “-” signal from the USB terminal adapter is wired to the brown input of the servo motor. For the wiring, I made use of a USB terminal adapter. ![]() In particular, I took a 5V USB power supply (power bank) to power the motor. In order to overcome this problem, I wired the motor to an external power supply. As a consequence, the Arduino might get damaged. The motor will likely draw to much current from the Arduino. Unfortunately, the motor can’t be directly powered from the Arduino. The motor has three wires: Brown (GND), Red (+5V) and Orange (PWM signal). If the motor has completed the last position, the sequence starts again. The motor rotates to four different positions with a delay of one second in between. The example application is kept very simple. Caution: There are different manufacturers, values might vary. For example, you can see the MG 996R very frequently in 3D-printed robotic arm applications. In contrast to the likewise popular SG90 servo, the MG 996R is able to rotate much higher weights. The MG 996R is a popular servo motor within the Arduino Community. Moreover, this tutorials includes a simple code example that let’s the motor rotate to various rotary positions. This tutorial shows how to wire the MG 996R servo to an Arduino. The MG 996R is one of the most popular servo motors within the maker community.
